Jimmy Stephen Johnson of St. Augustine’s College staggered Ghanaians with his splendid exhibition at the just finished National Science and Maths Quiz, held on Thursday July 11, 2019.

He previously earned national consideration when he won a presidential honor in 2018 as one of the general best understudies in the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).

St. Augustine’s College celebrated as AUGUSCO, from Cape Coast secured a success to guarantee the trophy for the 2019 version of the National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ) rivalry.

The school won the challenge with 39 points beating their contenders, St Peter’s SHS (PERSCO), with 25 and Presbyterian Boys’ Senior High School (PRESEC), Legon recording 34.

It was a wild fight among PRESEC and AUGUSCO during the challenge in the fourth and last round.

Jimmy Stephen Johnson came in as a substitute and his extraordinary presentation added to the schools’ triumph.

He is a particularly splendid, changing Augusco’s down either through rebounds or basically beating the adversary to keep any thoughts of a resentful impossible.

Jimmy Stephen Johnson, presently named ‘Newton’ compared to the English mathematician and physicist, Isaac Newton, who built up the logical laws of movement.

Newton’s substitute and his stunning performance made the difference.

And to no one’s surprise, he became the love of many hearts, with Ghanaian.

Inspired by Newton’s feat, a social media user lauded him via Facebook, urging Ghanaians to cast the spotlight on him.
