One of the unpleasant moments that nearly marred the success of the final funeral rites of dancehall diva, Ebony on Saturday was how popular pastor, Dr.Lawrence Tetteh took a swipe at Rev.Owusu for distorting his sermon.
The renowned Evangelist and President of Worldwide Miracle Outreach who officiated the burial service of the late Ebony, nearly lost his cool after Prophet Isaac Owusu Bempah stormed the funeral grounds.
Owusu Bempah who appeared with his entourage in the middle of the sermon were seen on camera taking salutes and handshakes from a section of the audience which distorted Dr Tetteh who was delivering the sermon at the time.
However, Dr. Tetteh who felt disrespected by the conduct of Owusu Bempah and his followers raised his voice and called him to order.
He angrily instructed Prophet Bempah and his followers not to disrespect God.
The Evangelist who was visibly not happy went on to order Owusu Bempah and his junior pastors to take their seats as he delivered his sermon.
“Ladies and gentlemen I’m preaching…I think this is one thing which we are doing in Ghana which is so disrespectful…A man of God is preaching; we should show respect: it is not right,” Dr. Lawrence angrily said.
Lawrence Tetteh with microphone mentioned, “Osofo Isaac, kindly take your seat behind, it is not right. We must learn to show reverence anytime the man of God is preaching. If you don’t fear and respect God, whoever you are you may be living in ‘fool’s paradise,” Dr Tetteh charged at Owusu Bempah.
Priscilla Opoku-Kwarteng aka Ebony met her untimely death in a gory accident together with one of her closest friends, Franky Kuri and her bodyguard, Atsu Vondee.
The late Ebony was on Saturday laid in State at the forecourt of the state House and was subsequently buried at the Osu cemetery.
