According to Evangelist Lord Kenya, media reports attributing to him that he named Kwaw Kese to be a renowned ‘Man of God’ should be disregarded.
Speaking to Joy News’ Mz Gee recently, the musician-turned preacher insisted that although he visited Kwaw Kese in 2014 at the Kumasi Central prison, his conversation with him hinged on his salvation with God.
However, years after the police incident, there have been series of media publications quoting Kwaw Kese to have said that Lord Kenya on his visit wanted him to pursue God’s work but he (Kwaw) was not ready.
But Evangelist Lord Kenya in his recent media interview denied the report, insisting that he only encourage Kwaw Kese to strengthen his relationship with Christ.
“I bought him a Bible and an everyday guide to reading his Bible and all that. Then I advised him that something might come out of where he is and with God all things are possible and God will help him out of it,” he said.
The preacher also added that when ‘Obodam’ finally came out of prison, he had a couple of conversations with him where he told him he was already a member of a church.
“So is it wrong for me to visit him or is it wrong for me to say to him that give your life to Christ?” Lord Kenya asked.
It could be recalled that the ‘Abodam man’ in 2014 was arrested by the police in connection with some marijuana offenses in Kumasi, while in an operation.
But was later cleared by the kumasi High Court on narcotic offenses charges after being remanded into prison custody for days.
