Female music artiste, eShun, has disclosed that what could be described as desperation on the part of some musicians to get their big breaks in the industry.
According to her, some of her colleagues have gone as far as consulting spiritualists for help to get major hits.
There has been news that artistes go to mallams in order to help them produce hit songs.
Although most artistes have denied knowledge of such things, eShun says she was contacted by a mallam to help her produce a hit song but she denied the offer.
But speaking in an interview on Accra-based Hitz FM, eShun stated a spiritualist (mallam) had specifically told her that some of her colleagues had been coming to him for help.
This, the artiste explained, was after the mallam had asked her to bring hair from her private part for the same purpose which she refused.
“He requested for my pubic hair to help me produce a hit song. He said he has helped some of my colleagues in the past and he can help me but I was not interested in his offer so I didn’t take it,” MyNewsGh.Com reported her as saying in the interview.
Born in Tema on June 7, eShun is the first child of her dad, Joseph Bosomtwi Eshun, in a family of six.
eShun started performing as a soloist in the Junior Gospel Choir at the Holy Fire Revival Church in Tema as 13-year-old girl.
She came into the limelight after participating in musical reality shows. First, it was TV3 Mentor and later MTN Project Fame and Glo X Factor where she did so well.
She has since established herself as a formidable songstress, even though she is yet to get her big breakthrough.
eShun has to her credit songs including ‘Someone Loves You’, ‘Meye’, ‘Fakye’, and ‘Simple as ABC’ among others.
