During the annual Men’s Ministry celebrations in the Assemblies of God church, the former President who is an active member of the Ridge branch of the church took over the pulpit to deliver the sermon.
Dressed in his Men’s Ministry cloth, JM, as he is popularly called, told Ghanaians to work on their salvation themselves as no one was going to do that for them.
He further indicated that even though prayer is important, effort too is of equal relevance.
Mahama preached an impactful sermon and topped it off with an enthusiastic turn when he joined the men’s choir to sing some gospel tunes to the congregation. During his sermon, John Mahama president urged Christians to let their faith go hand-in-hand with their works, and not rely on miracles from God.
