If you’re a fan of Irish cream and you’ve not tasted chocolate Irish cream then you’re definately missing. I remember the days of Uni when i was a club rat, the only two drinks i ordered at the bar were either red wine (as per class ) and Irish cream (because, who no like better thing).
Apparently you can make it at home and if you’re smart you can even infuse Nigerian flavours and spices into it.
2 cups of heavy cream (whipping cream for us)
1 cup of sweetened condensed milk
4 Cups of Irish whiskey
1 tsp. of instant coffee granules
1 tsp. of vanilla essence
1 tsp. of almond essence
-In a blender, combine the heavy cream, sweetened condensed milk, Irish whiskey, instant coffee granules, vanilla essence, almond essence. Turn on the blender and blend for about 30 seconds on high.
-Pour in a glass jar or bottle and seal tightly. Shake well before serving.
Note that when you mix cream with whiskey and leave it to sit for a while, it tends to separate but that’s quite normal. Just leave it to sit in the refrigerator overnight then shake very well the next day and you’re good to go. The whiskey tends to dissolve the cream once left to sit for a while.
