The Chief Executive of Ghana’s finest record label company, Zylofon Media, on Sunday stormed the Ashanti Regional capital, Kumasi, with his family to celebrate the popular Akwasidae festival.
The CEO, Nana Appiah Mensah, who was welcomed by some high profile dignitaries was also mobbed by dozens of entertainment fans on his arrival at the Kumasi airport.
Although it is not clear the exact role the Nana Appiah played in this year’s Akwasidae festival, he and his family got huge attention from organizers and a number of patrons who had arrived for the festival.
Nana Appiah, upon on his arrival, was spotted in a beautiful Kente cloth together with his wife and some other family members as they ‘chilled’ in his private jet.
NAM, as he is popularly called was also accompanied by a powerful delegation of celebrities, including all of the Zylofon Media signed acts to spice up the occasion.
The Akwasidae Festival is celebrated by the chiefs and the people of the Ashanti Kingdom both home and abroad.
The festival is celebrated on a Sunday, once every six weeks to provide an occasion for communion with the ancestors as well as the re-union of families.
Akwasidae also enables all chiefs within the jurisdiction of the Golden Stool of Asante to renew their allegiance to the Asantehene, the occupant of the Golden Stool.
